Meet Marc and Jackie Rude: Victorian House Bed and Breakfast Inkeepers

Welcome to the Victorian House Bed and Breakfast in St. Augustine, Florida! We are delighted to have you as our guest and promise you a wonderful stay.   

We became innkeepers of the Victorian House in October of 2004.  We are both products of corporate America. Jackie retired from her job in 2002 and Marc decided to leave his job, after the company he was working at changed ownership. We decided to purchase a bed and breakfast after exploring other business opportunities and determining that by blending our work experiences we qualified as innkeepers! We enjoy working together and are enjoying our new careers.   

Transplants from Minnesota, we moved to Florida in 1996, after Jackie accepted a job transfer to Jacksonville. When Jackie retired in September 2002, we decided to move to the Saint Augustine area that October. 

Marc has a background in photography, last working as the Director of Imaging in stock photography. Working 20 plus years in the industry, he continues to polish up his skills by taking photos at the inn, for family, and friends. His hobbies include Falconry, specializing in birds of prey, and Sailing. Marc is also a DJ with the WFCF radio station for his own weekly two hour smooth jazz radio show.

Jackie worked as an administrative manager for a financial services corporation for 20 years. She has experience in property management and currently holds a Real Estate License in the state of Florida. Her hobbies include cooking, music and Sailing.

We have been married 16 years, after dating for 11 years. We have five grown children and eight grandchildren. One of our daughters lives in Jacksonville the other two daughters, two sons, and eight grandchildren live in Minnesota.
